The Do's
Carry out what you carry in
Do not discard anything in the environment. Keep it with you until you find a proper bin to dispose of it responsibly.
Observe wildlife from a distance
Do not cause a disturbance. Let animals be in their own company - your restraint is the greatest gift you can give them.
Be sustainable in your hotel room
Turn off lights, AC, and fans before you leave. Hotel staff work hard - leave your room in a reasonable condition.
Immerse in nature & local life
Immerse yourself in the local environment and culture. Authentic connection elevates your experience beyond any curated itinerary.
Travel light - in every sense
Not just clothes and accessories - travel with zero expectations of the destination. Your joy will double when you simply let go.
Support local businesses
When you shop, eat, or hire - choose local. Every rupee spent with a local family stays in the community and keeps culture alive.
The Don'ts
No single-use plastic
Do not travel with single-use plastic where a reusable option is available. Carry a reusable bottle, tote, and cutlery. Every piece you avoid is one less burden on the places you love.
Ask before you photograph
Do not click pictures of locals without seeking their permission first. Respect their privacy the way you'd want yours respected. A simple gesture builds genuine connection.
We are against animal tourism
The Flapper Life is strictly against animal tourism. Any adventure involving animals is purely your personal choice - we will not organise or recommend it. Wild animals belong in the wild.
Small choices.
Lasting impact.
People
Respect privacy, cultures, and the communities we pass through.
Planet
Leave places exactly as you found them - or better.
Purpose
Travel not to consume, but to understand and connect deeply.
